PADI Advanced Open Water Diver
Expand your limits with five adventure dives, including deep diving and underwater navigation.
Why take this course
- Expand your depth limit from 18 to 30 meters
- Learn hands-on, through five guided adventure dives, without extensive theory exams
- Sample different specialties before deciding which one to pursue
The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver is the natural next step after Open Water Diver: instead of extensive theory exams, the course is built around five adventure dives that expand your skills hands-on. Two are mandatory — the Underwater Navigation dive and the Deep dive, which already takes you down to 30 meters.
The other three adventure dives are chosen from the available specialties, such as Nitrox, Night Diving, or Peak Performance Buoyancy, depending on what's available in Búzios at the time. It's a practical, guided way to already sample different kinds of diving before deciding which specialty to go deeper into later.
