Ilha da Âncora is Búzios' signature dive site — widely considered the best dive site in the state of Rio de Janeiro and one of the best in all of Brazil, with clear water, striking rock walls, and a genuine sea turtle sanctuary. It's where we take our students and guests whenever sea conditions allow, and watching someone's reaction the first time they dive there is one of our favorite parts of the job. Above water, Búzios is just as captivating: more than twenty beaches, a buzzing food scene, and the charm that made this peninsula one of Brazil's most beloved destinations.
